The Corplet Marine is an enemy found underwater, and in the air in Galleon Galaxy. When the player is spotted by the Corplet Marine, they will chase after the duo.
Yooka and Laylee will receive damage and lose health when Yooka and Laylee come into contact with the Corplet Marine. However, Laylee can use the Sonar Shot to stun the Corplet Marine, and can proceed to defeat it using any damaging ability. Corplate Marines can also be damage by using the Sonar 'Splosion ability, or the Sonar Shield ability. If the player equips the Super Slam Tonic and uses the Buddy Slam ability, the Corplet Marine may also take damage from the shock wave of the Super Slam Buddy Slam.
It's often difficult to defeat these enemies, as most Corplet Marines are underwater, forcing the player to use the Buddy Bubble ability, which limits many of the duo's abilities. While underwater using the Bubble Buddy ability, the duo can either use Sonar Shot to stun them, and proceed to defeat them, or the Sonar 'Splosion. However, the Galleon Galaxy variations float in the air, which allows the duo to use many more abilities against it.
Along with the other Corplets species, these creatures were genetically created by Dr. Quack.
Name Origin[]
The name Corplet is a play-on-words on the word "corporation" and the suffix "-let". "Corporation" refers to Capital B's business motives, and the suffix "-let" refers to an offspring of a species (such as piglet). The term marine refers to these enemies being underwater creatures.
Appearance[]
The Corplet Marine has a purple transparent layer over its head, it has four big blue tentacles down low and four more on top to make it look like hair. It wears a white pearl necklace and has two narrow eyes.
Personality[]
In Yooka-Laylee, not much is known about their personality, other than being hostile towards Yooka and Laylee. Once they spot the duo, the Corplet Marine will quickly swim towards them.
