Frantic Fountains - Frozen is the fourth chapter in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and is the state change variation of Frantic Fountains. Frantic Fountains is the chapter after Wild Web Woods and it's the chapter before Gasping Glade. This is the first state change level Yooka and Laylee visit. After the base stage is clear, Queen Pheobee appears, explains how stages can be changed and plants a Frostberry Bush nearby. Spit a Frostberry into the pool where the book is to change it. Don't worry if you want to play the original version again, a Scorchberry Bush is planted after Waspinson is free.

The layout of the level is almost identical to the original, with some exceptions. All the fountains are now frozen solid, there's ice everywhere, and the house where the level originally ends instead forces a detour into a new sliding section.
