Gasping Glade is the fifth chapter in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair. The state change variation is Grown, and Gasping Glade is the chapter after Frantic Fountains and it's the chapter before Sawblade Evade.

In Gasping Glade, aside from the first checkmate, there are _ checkmates in total within the level. In total, there are _ checkmates.

LC = Checkmate will disappear if the "Less Checkmates" tonic is equipped.

MC = Checkmate will only appear if the "More Checkmates" tonic is equipped.

Secret Exit

When you reach the last door, there is a cumbersome passage with an acid floor to the far right past the enemy. At first glance, it seems as though there's nothing back there (Yooka will even comment that "there's no way they'll get past there- alive..."). However, if the player waits by there for about a minute (or uses the Ticktockticktock! Tonic), a moving platform will arrive fashionably late for them to ride on. There is then a small platforming section that leads to the secret exit.

Frantic Fountains - Frozen is the fifth chapter in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair and is the state change variation of Frantic Fountains. Frantic Fountains is the chapter after Wild Web Woods and it's the chapter before Gasping Glade.

To unlock this level, Yooka has to travel into a cave and blow up Rampo's teeth to free the waterfall and absolutely flood the book outside the cave. the original version of the level can be accessed by hitting the switch next to the book to block the water.

Overview[]

Unlike most variants, this variant almost completely changes the level, transforming the desert into a jungle. This level relies heavily on zip-lines.
