The Pumpkin Bros. (Or Pumpkin Brothers) are a reoccurring NPC species in the Yooka-Laylee series.[1] In Yooka-Laylee, two pumpkin brothers reside in Moodymaze Marsh and give information to the player.
A pumpkin brother appears in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, but has only been seen in a release teaser video hinting towards the release of the game being in October.[2]

The Pumpkin is an orange jack-o-lantern with a jagged glowing mouth and googly eyes. In Yooka-Laylee, the outline of their googly eyes are blue, while in Yooka-Laylee and the Impossible Lair, the outline of their googly eyes are dark red.

Yooka-Laylee[]
Near the beginning of Moodymaze Marsh resides a puzzle with a plank of wood near a Pagie in a Cagie. While it's not required to speak with the pumpkin, the pumpkin provides Yooka and Laylee a tip on how to collect the Pagie.
The challenge is that Pagie in a Cagie will open once the duo Buddy Slams the Button. According to the pumpkin, the cage is activated to close by the sound of splashing. If Yooka touches the water, the cage will close. There are two ways to complete this challenge:
- The duo can hop across the pond and land on the middle of the wooden platform and immediately jump to the Pagie. The duo must do this quickly because if Yooka's feet slightly touches the water, the cage will close.
- While this is not the official strategy, the duo can also jump on top of the border walls and walk to the other side to the cage.
