Sonar Totem[]

A Sonar Totem is an object in various locations in Yooka-Laylee. The Totem is a tall tribal themed stone statue. While asleep, the Totem is white and has "Z" letters next to its head which is an animation trope that indicates an asleep state, though when awake it becomes dark gray and its eyes begin to glow. The only way to awaken it is to have Laylee use her Sonar Shot at the Totem's front. Once awoken, the Totem will allow the duo to access an invisible object like a Smiley Platform or a normal hovering platform. They may also activate certain objectives like lowering a gate or opening a Pagie in a Cagie. The Sonar Shot is the only ability that is necessary to defeat the Googly Eyes once they attach themselves onto an inanimate object.
