Transformations are different forms that Yooka and Laylee can become by using Dr. Puzz's D.N.Ray, powered by Mollycools.

Flower Form[]
Flower Form is a flower transformation in Tribalstack Tropics. Yooka and Laylee speak to Dr. Puzz and use her D.N.Ray by the Duke's Temple, they will be able to transform. Once in the Flower Form, the duo will have the ability to pollinate and speak to Plant Bulbs. While in Flower Form, the duo shares a thick purple stem, multiple leaves, and a large face (to act as petals) protruding out of the face is a stigma, used to communicate with other flowers.

Snowplough Form[]
Snowplough Form is a snowplough transformation within Glitterglaze Glacier. While in Snowplough Form, Yooka and Laylee can use the blade of the snowplough to remove snow to reveal hidden Hats trapped underneath. If Yooka and Laylee come in contact with water in this form, they will instantly revert to their normal selves. While in Snowplough Form, the duo shares a large red blade in front of the vehicle. The grille of the Snowplough is purple, while the rest of the vehicle is mostly colored to the likes of Yooka. The vehicle has four silver wheels with black tires. The head of the vehicle has Yooka's red marking in the back part.
Piranha Form[]
The Piranha Form is a school of piranha transformation in Moodymaze Marsh. Once Yooka and Laylee speak to Dr. Puzz and use her D.N.Ray in Moodymaze Lagoon, they will be able to transform. This form lets the duo explore and breathe underwater infinitely and enter small openings. There are 18 piranhas (11 Yooka, 7 Laylee). They have sharp teeth.
Chopper Form[]
Chopper Form is a chopper transformation in Capital Cashino in Yooka-Laylee. Once Yooka and Laylee speak to Dr. Puzz and use her D.N.Ray near the enormous gold dice, they will be able to transform. This form lets the duo fly around and shoot destructive missiles at enemies and breakable walls. While in Chopper Form, the duo's shape is that of a helicopter. Yooka's body forms the cockpit, while his tail makes up the back and the engine. The top of the propeller resembles Laylee's head, while her wings form the blades. There are three small black wheels (with orange covers) on the bottom, while the tail fin is also red. A missile launcher is attached to the chin of the helicopter.
Pirate Ship Form[]
The Space Ship Form is a pirate ship transformation in Galleon Galaxy. Yooka and Laylee must speak to Dr. Puzz and use a Mollycool to power up her D.N.Ray near the Lightspeed House, they will be able to transform. Once in Space Ship Form, the duo will have the ability to tread on water. The ship is also equipped with cannons, a flamethrower, and ice launchers. While in Space Ship Form, the duo assume the appearance of a pirate galleon. Yooka's body makes up the bow and the stern, while his eyes are on the steering wheel. The hull has six glowing portholes on the sides, an orange keel near bottom, and a large lantern on the back. Laylee's body forms the mast, the sails, and the crow's nest. The deck is equipped with three different cannons that shoot ice, fire, and bombs.
- The Pirate Ship Form resembles the Bat Ship Crazy.

- According to Mark Stevenson, an idea for Capital Cashino's transformation was a money train, where the train would bomb machines, and the train would collect money from it.[1]
- According to Gavin Price, another idea for Capital Cashino's transformation was a catapult.[2]
- The transformations in Yooka-Laylee were inspired by the transformations from the Banjo-Kazooie series.
- Holding the Left Shift key (Steam),
(Xbox One) or the
(PlayStation 4) for 5 seconds will revert the duo back to their original form.
