Hi guys! My name is Evan Lin! I am the Bueracratic Admin of this wiki (I am however not the original founder of this wiki.)

I've been incredibly hyped for Yooka-Laylee even before its announcement (I've been waiting for a new 3D Platformer Collect-a-thon since around my freshman year in high school.)

I am also the owner of the Yooka-Laylee Bat Ship Crazy Facebook Page, as well as one of the two owners of the Hivory Hub Youtube Channel!

My style of writing and editing on Wikia

The Yooka-Laylee Wikia is technically my first wiki that I've seriously contributed to. Writing tends to be my weak point, as I often get terrible grades in my writing classes. However, I can be good at making the wiki nice and "purty". For an example, I've created most of the general infoboxes (I wasn't the one who created the first one though admittedly), I make sure each page has a good amount of information rather than just making it a tiny uninteresting page with a single picture, and I've put on the wiki the button controls for the "Controls" section of the ability pages. If you see me editing something, it might be best to double check my writing! Haha!

About Me

I am a Senior attending Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego. I'm a piano performance major, and I have been playing piano for 16 years, arranging music for four years, and composing music for four years.

History of me and Rare Ltd./Playtonic Games

Since I was around four or five years old, I've been playing Banjo-Kazooie games, and Donkey Kong 64. These two games shaped my childhood.

In high school, I started to think of Banjo-Kazooie games again, and I started to listen to the music from the game while playing other games. I then started following Grant Kirkhope a lot. Around then, I started to crave a new 3D platformer game.

The day that Playtonic Games revealed themselves, I jumped out of my chair out of excitement! I've basically waited for Yooka-Laylee before it was even announced!

On October 2nd, I went to Twitchcon JUST for Yooka-Laylee. No joke. I did look around the San Diego convention center, but I didn't stop at any exhibits. I played Yooka-Laylee 6 times for 5 or 6 hours and hung out with three members of Team17! During my last playthrough of the demo, I was able to collect 9 Pagies in just 15 minutes! (The high score for the most Pagies during the demo was 3.)

My Favorite Wikia Pages
  • My very first "proud" edit was on the Banjo-Kazooie Wiki, on the Stomping Plains page. I added over 2,490 characters to the page due to how bland it was! Looking back... I could have done a better job honestly...
